We’re looking for a talented, self-driven finance & strategy intern who is seeking an opportunity to leverage their analytical and qualitative skills to support Stride’s growth and innovation.



Position Summary

Stride’s Director of Finance is looking for a fall intern to support a number of high-value tasks that support Stride’s growth and long-term success. You will assist in the monthly production of internal financial reporting materials and external partner reporting. Additional responsibilities may include building complex financial models and forecasts of potential new client partnerships. On the strategy front, you can delve into ongoing market analyses of the outcomes-based funding market and potential adjacent markets. Finally, get ready for some fun investor diligence! This is an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing start-up that will give you the chance to interact with team members across functions and gain valuable mentorship from a seasoned executive who has managed billion-dollar credit funds. As always, the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities are essential – get ready to learn a lot, do a lot, and see a lot! The expected time commitment is 5-10 hours per week.


  • Junior or Senior undergraduate, focusing on Finance

  • Advanced excel model skills with the ability to use complex nested formulas and create pivot tables

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus, but not necessary

  • Understanding of three statement financial model and how they are linked

  • Interested in understanding broader business strategy

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and analysis

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
